POREVÍT

POREVIT

Function: Son of Perun, he is the eternally young god of beauty, attractiveness, pleasure and intoxication. It is attributed a magical power over the perception of pleasures.

Image: Always dressed in beautiful robes. It has five faces, with the first one having very delicate and feminine features. The second is mirror-symmetrical. The third face is always smiling and cheerful, the fourth is capricious. His fifth face is no more beautiful than his brothers', but Porevít beautified it with make-up and jewelry.

Symbols: Crest, deer, narcissus, poppy.

Sacrifices: Sweet bread, jam pies, porridge, gingerbread, wine, cakes, fruit, but also wine or mead.

Holidays: The period dedicated to him is the time of the waxing of the moon before the full moon.

Note: He is not inherently a warrior, but is a divine strategist who is therefore invoked before battle, as well as before passing judgment or decision. As a divine teacher, he is always happy to tap into the well of wisdom and give a drink of knowledge to anyone who is willing to listen.

His gesture of holding his fifth head symbolizes that if his neck were cut off, he would still have one head. This head cannot be taken from him, so Porenut will always have his own reason and clear judgment.
