A unique comprehensive set of mythical stories of our culture: Slavic gods and goddesses, spirits, demons, fairies, goblins, watermen... Who are they, what do they do, how do they help or harm, how to honor them and when is their time?
In the book, we meet all possible gods and other mythological characters. For each of these figures, we find a key story about them, plus information about what the figure meant, what it was associated with, how and when it was worshiped or invoked. And since in different sources we can meet different names of one and the same deity, the author always mentions these different variations of names. We will also learn how the world and the universe were organized according to our ancestors, how good and evil fought and coexisted, or other polarities and energies.
Slavic mythology is logically divided: first comes the "first generation" of creator gods. Then follows the era of the younger deities, and finally the third group consists of the "lesser", guardian spirits, demons, fairies and other similar figures.
The publication illuminates and reveals our ancient spiritual roots. All the stories are beautifully colorfully illustrated by the young Slovak artist Viera Šinalová.
