We can say that quite a lot can be learned about this ancient holiday and the ceremony associated with it. After all, I guess there is no better-known original ceremony of our pre-Christian ancestors. But let's talk a little more about why it will be thrown into the fire and the water.
Even the influence of Christianity did not change the meaning of this holiday or even its execution, it only slightly shifted the day during which the ceremony should be performed. Often, in an effort to ward off winter as soon as possible, the ceremony of "burning - melting" Morena was also performed before the day, which, based on the lunar calendar, should be during the new moon after the day of the spring equinox, Christians moved it to the Sunday after this day and called DEATH SUNDAY.
However, the original name was PROVODA. As the original name suggests, the main function was the ceremonial procession of winter, or the goddess ruling this period. Thus, getting rid of winter was to be ensured by a ceremonial send-off, burning or drowning of the queen of winter and the death of Morena.
But be careful, this burning was not supposed to mean its destruction, and even throwing it into the water does not mean destruction. We must realize the sanctity of fire and water for our ancestors. It is precisely fire and water that have the power to transfer sacrifices between worlds. Of course, air and earth also have this power, but only fire can do it quickly, and water forms an obvious boundary between here and there.
Therefore, considering the nature of the divine MORENA, it is good to transfer her from our world to Nav quickly, and the water will be visibly closed above the puppet symbolizing this powerful goddess. In this ceremony, we can also perceive the connection of fire and water, and in addition, if it is a stream or river, there is also a clear movement away.
This ceremony is widely known, I am adding another magic ceremony to it, in which the participants take an egg, which they describe or otherwise decorate. Such an egg is called not only a Easter egg but also an Easter egg. While decorating the egg as a magical symbol of rebirth, everyone should meditate on their ailments, diseases and sorrows. Often times this egg is rolled around the meditator and so all this evil is ceremoniously transferred into this egg.
After throwing the lit Morena into the water, these eggs are thrown behind the departing goddess with a request that she take everything that was transferred into the egg with her.
I wish you that the ceremony will be successful, that the beautiful goddess of death and winter will take all your evil to Nav and that we will be able to experience our rebirth.
If you want to know something about me or me events, I will be happy.
